Savoury cake with Cantal, smoked saucisson and walnuts
A moist cake, to make the day before and cut into slices for aperitifs or a picnic.

Ingredients
- 150 g flour and 1 sachet of baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 10 cl oil and 10 cl milk
- 150 g Cantal, cut into small cubes See the product
- 120 g smoked dry saucisson, diced See the product
- 50 g chopped walnuts
- Pepper
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a loaf tin.
- Whisk the eggs with the oil and milk, then add the flour and baking powder.
- Fold in the Cantal, saucisson and walnuts. Add pepper but no salt: the saucisson and cheese are already salty.
- Pour into the tin and bake for 40 minutes. A knife blade should come out dry.
- Leave to cool slightly before turning out.
Tip
Roll the diced Cantal and saucisson in a little flour: they will not sink to the bottom of the cake.
What to drink with it?
A dry white wine or a lager.
